Executive and Artistic Director

Angel Prince is the Founder and Director of Prince Dance Institute, and the Executive and Artistic Director of Prince Dance Company.

Ms. Prince holds a B.A. in Dance and Psychology from Hofstra University in NY, and a masters degree in Contemporary Styles of Dance from the National University of the Arts in Buenos Aires, Argentina. She is a recognized teacher for the Hawai‘i State Foundation on Culture and the Arts and serves on the faculty at the Hawaii Performing Arts Festival.

She has created over fifteen original, evening-length shows including, Disposable Nation, The Greatest Show Off Earth, and Que Sueñes Con Las Angelistas—written with Beth Dunnington—and has presented her work nationally and internationally. In 2008 she worked with Jack Johnson’s Kokua Hawai‘i Foundation to write the musical, The Trash Heap, which toured the state of Hawai‘i.

Most recently Ms. Prince was honored with the prestigious Tanne Foundation award for her body of work to date.
